The GRID

The Grid is more than just entertainment, but an experience. We want every customer that comes in to leave with a new experience that they won’t forget. Our goal is to implement everything that makes an unforgettable experience into one location; that being amazing food, activity and immersive gamification. As for the future, we have a lot in mind, but just know it’ll be something you have never experienced before. So be on the lookout, because a Grid location may be coming to a city near you, and you’ll be able to experience it for yourself. The Grid is just getting started.

BOOKING / SIGNING UP

Can I make a reservation?
Yes! Reservations can be made through our website on the "Racing" tab. From the Racing tab click "Book Your Race Now". The website will redirect to our reservation system. From the reservation page, select the "Book now!" option to choose the date, number of racers, and the heat time. Once the reservation is complete, proceed to check out. Guests will be asked to create a new account or sign up with an existing account. For existing accounts please enter the email used to create your account. New participants will be charged membership fee, which is valid for up to one year. If adding a participant with a valid membership, please add their racing code which can be found in the registration email titled "Check Out Your Advantages". Scroll to the bottom of the email to find the login code. Failure to follow this step will result in participants being charged an additional nonrefundable membership fee. (Reminder Reservations cannot be made over the phone) All racers are required to check in 30 minutes prior to the scheduled reservation time. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to reschedule the reservation.
How do reservations work?
A reservation is a guaranteed spot in a heat. But still follows the same rules as a walk-in. For example, you need to be in the building 30 minutes before the reserved time to get ready for the race.
Can I book more than one reservation?
Yes, you can book more than one in a day, but we ask for you to not book back-to-back heats. We wouldn’t want racers getting sick in their second or third race. To book a second race online please select the option “add race” in order to have it be in one total reservation.
Do I need an annual membership to race?
Yes, an annual membership is required for all guests racing at The Grid. The annual membership fees are $9.00 per year (plus taxes) and are valid for 12 months. It includes: 1 FREE birthday race (ID required) - New for 2023, 1 FREE headsock for you to keep, Insurance coverage on the karts, Storing of your racing history in our database, FREE helmet rentals for a year. We will not automatically charge for the next membership period.
Can I make a reservation by phone?
Unfortunately, we do not take reservations over the phone as we require payment, and we cannot take payment over the phone, but guests are encouraged to make reservations through our website. See FAQ, "Can I make a reservation?".
Will you return my phone call?
Yes! We only answer calls during operating hours. If we missed your call, we are either closed or attending to other customers. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.
Can I rent out the location or book a company or private event?
Yes! Our event options are endless! In addition to racing and arcades, we offer private meeting rooms equipped with high-speed wireless internet, and everything you need to make your event a success. Packages are available in multiple race formats and reserved time slots during normal operation hours or during hours closed to the public. Booking an event is great for company parties or a special birthday surprise. To begin planning your event, please contact an Event Coordinator today by filling out the request form located on the "Events" tab of our website.
Why Can’t I Sign A Waiver Online?
Children under 14 years old must have a waiver signed at The Grid by a legal guardian. Racers 14+ can either sign one online or at The Grid.
How Far Ahead Can I Make An Online Reservation?
Our reservation system allows for reservations to be made only 2 weeks in advance and an hour in advance the day of.

TRACK

What is a private heat?
A private heat means that you pay for all 12 spots available on the heat. Our guests often choose this option to race with a few select friends and not with the general public. You do not need to fill all 12 spots. To book a private heat go to the "Events" tab on our website. If you'd like more information or how to book it to call the front desk.
Can I bring my own helmet?
Yes, as long as it’s Department of Transportation (DOT) approved with full-face protection.
Is There A Height Or Weight Restriction For The Go-Karts?
Yes, the minimum height for our Adult karts is 4'10 tall or 58 inches. while the maximum weight that we allow is 300 pounds.
How Long Is The Track?
Our track is a ½ mile, multi-level track that is sure to give you an unforgettable experience. For information on our Track and Racing please visit the Racing Tab.
Are The Karts Electric or Gas Powered?
All the karts we use are electric. That means faster acceleration plus no fumes from the karts.
Does Battery Charge Affect The Go-Karts Performance?
No, although we still make sure to charge each kart after they have been used.

OTHER

Are there any activities for children younger than age 14?
Yes! We have an arcade that will keep the little ones entertained during your visit. Please ensure they have proper supervision at all times.
Is There A Military Discount?
Yes, we offer a 10% military discount. In order to receive the discount guests must purchase the race in the building and provide a valid ID.
Are GoPro’s Allowed?
Yes, we allow the use of GoPro’s, but we do not guarantee a helmet/kart with a mount will be available. We are also not held liable if the GoPro breaks during the race.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, the age requirement to race at our facility is 14 years or older. Unfortunately, we are unable to make exceptions. Thank you for understanding.
Do I need to wear special racing clothes?
No, all you need to do is make sure you have closed-toed shoes and nothing too loose that might get caught on the track
Can I wear slides/flip flops/sandals?
No, in order to race you must have closed-toed shoes
Is it okay if I have a cast/sling/boot?
No, we can not race anyone with a cast/sling to ensure our races are safe for everyone
Where can I find my membership code?
There are multiple ways of getting your code. One method is to check the email you used when filling out the waiver and go to the email titled “Check out your advantages” next to the QR code you will find your code If you have our app downloaded you can find your code under the “Race License” Lastly, you can give us a call and we can give you your individual code. (if we happen to not answer your call we are either not open or currently helping out another customer, if this happens please leave a message with your number and we will get back to you as soon as possible)
Does The Grid have an app?
Yes, it’s called “Activity Box” to sign in to your account you will need your code. You can follow the instructions on the FAQ “Where can I find my membership code?” if you need help finding it. You can also ask the front desk for your QR code and you can scan that to sign in. Our app keeps track of all your previous/future races and stats.
Can I bring outside food/drinks?
No, we don’t allow any outside food or drinks. The only exception is if you book an arcade event with us
Can kids under 14 years old race?
Unfortunately, no kids under the age of 14 will be able to race. Thank you for understanding.
What time do I need to show up for my reservation?
We ask for all reservations to show up 30 minutes prior to their scheduled reservation time. To ensure there is plenty of time to do all the steps required before the race. Remember the time reserved is the time the Heat will go out and race, not when you have to show up for the reservation. Please plan accordingly
What happens if I am late?
If you’re late we will move you to the next nearest heat that has space for the size of your group (if possible)
Can I reschedule my reservation?
Yes, to reschedule please call ahead of time and let us know. (if we happen to not answer your call we are either not open or currently helping out another customer, if this happens please leave a message with your number and we will get back to you as soon as possible)
What do I do when I arrive / how do I check in for my reservation?
First thing is to make sure anyone new has signed a waiver either online or on our computers. After everyone has signed one you can check in at our front desk and either check in for your reservation or sign up for a race
Can I race if I am pregnant?
No, we don’t allow anyone who is pregnant to race to ensure the safety of the baby/mom and anyone else on the track
How do I avoid double charging memberships?
If you are wanting to do 2 races instead of booking two singles, after the first race, hit “add race” instead of booking two separate reservations. If you are wanting to do 3 races please select the Triple Pack option when booking.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, you can buy gift vouchers both online and in person. In person we offer gift cards in $5 increments. Online you can do any dollar amount. You can find them on the "book now" tab under the category section!
How do I get my gift card?
The e-voucher will be sent to the email you entered for the recipient email. You can use either the QR code on your phone or print it out. If you purchase it in person, we will print it out for you!
Do gift cards expire?
Yes. They expire one year from the purchase date, so be sure to use it before that time comes. (we do not offer refunds for expired gift cards)
How do I use my gift card?
You can use your gift card to make a reservation online by entering the code underneath the QR code and enter it in the "discount code." box or we will scan your gift card if you are paying in person.
How do I use/get a birthday credit?
To get a Birthday Credit you must have an active membership and come in within a week of your birthday. You must also be able to provide a valid ID. We will then add a credit to your account that is good up to a year! To use the Birthday Credit you must book a race in house.
